Sample Answer:

Nowadays, with the development of globalisation, many shops are operating in various nations, with little difference in the types of products and services they offer. This has generated a debate between those who consider this a positive development, and those who think of it as negative.

On the one hand, some people believe that this is a positive development, as it allows for the emergence of larger and more powerful companies, which are able to offer better products and services at lower prices. This could lead to an increase in the purchasing power of individuals, and thus boost the economy of the countries in which these shops operate. Furthermore, the availability of the same products in different countries would facilitate international trade and help businesses become more competitive.

On the other hand, some people argue that this is a negative development, as it could lead to the displacement of smaller businesses, as they would not be able to compete with the larger companies. This would reduce the number of employment opportunities and could have a negative impact on the local economy. Additionally, the presence of the same shops in various countries could lead to the loss of cultural diversity, as the same products and services would be available everywhere.

In my opinion, I think that this is a mixed development. On the one hand, it could lead to an increase in the purchasing power of individuals, and thus help increase economic activity. On the other hand, it could lead to the displacement of smaller businesses, which could have a negative impact on employment and cultural diversity. Therefore, governments should take steps to ensure that the presence of larger companies does not lead to the displacement of smaller businesses. They should also ensure that the products and services offered by the larger companies are of good quality, and are affordable to the local population. Moreover, they should take steps to ensure that the cultural diversity of the countries in which they operate is not lost.
