Sample Answer:

Nowadays, there is an ongoing debate around the responsibility for reducing the amount of packaging on products. On the one hand, some people argue that it is the duty of supermarkets and manufacturers to reduce the amount of packaging. On the other hand, others claim that the consumer is the one who should avoid buying products with excessive packaging. In my opinion, both of these views should be taken into consideration in order to ensure the responsible use of packaging.

The first opinion suggests that it is the responsibility of supermarkets and manufacturers to reduce the amount of packaging used. This is because these companies are in charge of the production and distribution of goods, and so they should try to reduce the use of resources in order to protect the environment. Moreover, they can also benefit from this since they can save money by using less packaging materials. This can also be beneficial for consumers since they can purchase products with less packaging, which can make them cheaper.

However, it is also important to consider the second point of view, which is that it is the consumer’s responsibility to avoid buying products with excessive packaging. This is because the consumer has the power to choose the products they buy, and by avoiding those with too much packaging, they can help reduce the amount of packaging used. Furthermore, it is also important to educate consumers about the effects of excessive packaging and to make them aware of the waste they are creating.

In conclusion, both of these points of view should be taken into consideration in order to reduce the use of packaging. Supermarkets and manufacturers should try to reduce the amount of packaging they use and consumers should be aware of the effects of excessive packaging and make sure to avoid buying products with too much packaging. If both of these views are taken into account, it can ensure a more responsible use of packaging.
