Sample Answer:

Nowadays, more and more companies are relying on digital communication to replace traditional face-to-face meetings, and this has its pros and cons. This essay will discuss both sides of the argument while focusing on the advantages of this trend.

The primary benefit of online communication is convenience. By using digital tools such as video-calls or online forums, companies can quickly and efficiently communicate with their teams, clients, and other stakeholders. Distance is no longer a barrier, as it is now possible to connect with anyone in the world at the touch of a button. This means that businesses can save a lot of time and money, as there is no longer a need to travel to meetings or pay for expensive flights and accommodation.

In addition, online communication has been proven to reduce stress levels for participants, as it has been found to be less intimidating than traditional face-to-face meetings. This is because it allows participants to be more comfortable in their own environment, which can help to create a more relaxed atmosphere and encourage open discussion.

However, there are certain drawbacks to this trend, such as the lack of face-to-face interaction. This can make it difficult to build trust and rapport, as it is harder to read people’s body language and facial expressions when communicating online. Furthermore, digital communication can also lead to misunderstandings and miscommunication, as it is much easier to misinterpret someone’s words or intentions when they are not speaking face-to-face.

Despite these drawbacks, it is clear that the advantages of online communication far outweigh the disadvantages. Not only is it more convenient and cost-effective, but it also helps to reduce stress and create a more relaxed atmosphere. Therefore, it is clear that the trend of using digital communication instead of face-to-face meetings is beneficial for businesses and should be encouraged.
