This has led to the speculation that in the future, printed newspapers and books will no longer be necessary as people can read everything they want online without paying. While it is true that the internet has had a profound impact on how people access information, to suggest that printed newspapers and books will become extinct in the future is a gross overestimation.
First of all, printed newspapers and books still remain the most reliable sources of information. The internet is filled with sources which are unreliable and often contain inaccurate information. On the other hand, printed newspapers and books are usually more reliable as they are usually written by professionals and experts in the relevant subject area. In addition, readers can trust the authenticity of the information contained in printed newspapers and books as it is usually reviewed and edited by experts in the field.
Furthermore, printed newspapers and books offer an opportunity for readers to enjoy a more tactile reading experience. It is true that online reading can be enjoyable, however, reading a printed newspaper or book has its own unique charms.
