Telecommuting is the latest movement in work environment which allows executives to work away from the office. In many circles, it is viewed as an approach to be close to home or allow them to be engaged with the organization while working abroad. Both the telecommuting and ordinary office have a multitude of advantages, but in my opinion my preference would be obviously telecommuting.

Telecommuting caters benefits for both the employer and the employee. One of the key considerations for any corporate house is economics and how will telecommuting be lucrative for the company. The primary profit for corporations embarking on the telecommuting concept is the reducing cost of office space required to run the business. With the help of telecommuting, employer can manage an expanded pool of employees. No barriers like, commuting difficulties, geographical barriers, and childcare problem, cannot hamper the productivity of employees. In addition, due to telecommuting, companies are able to expand oversees where labor cost is cheap. Likewise, the benefits also fall for employees. One invaluable vantage an employee can enjoy when telecommuting is flexibility. The telecommuting employee has the flexibility to coordinate his work schedule with personal and family priorities. Besides, he does not need to bother the hassle of traffic jams, fight for car parking or send hours on commuting.

On the same token, ordinary office provides many benefits to companies. Using office, employer can directly ensure the progress of work. There is no much control over the employees when telecommuting is functioned because each employee might be in any part of the globe. By contrast, in office employer can efficiently monitor the employees that they are working during the working hour. On the top of that, in telecommuting, technical problems might hamper the progress of work which can easily be avoided in an office environment.

To wrap up, whether or not we would like, telecommuting has translated into an important part of our social structure. Not only is telecommuting beneficial for the employer, but equally it provides the employees with several amazing advantages. Whether it is deemed as a harmful approach or the system of which we dream about, without telecommuting where would we stand today?
