Sample Answer 1:
With the explosive rise of population, the human needs are soaring day by day. We need more foods, more industrialization and more spaces to live. That is why more and more lands are being occupied for cultivating crops, building industries, new residential areas, roads and so on. This results in shrinking habitat of many wildlife. Which by consequence, many species go to extinction in each year. Now the million dollar question is, ‘does it matter to humans that the many species are disappearing?’ I think so, because each and every creature is vital for keeping the earth a place to live in.

To start with, each creature has made adaptation to survive. Each creature has a unique essence that characterized it. Each creature contributes something that affects our ecosystem. Taking one of those creatures such as tiger or lion, could harm to the entire food chain and ecosystem in that particular area. A very good example here is bat. Bats devour thousand of bugs. Now the bats go to extinction. If we do not save the bats, then who will kill the bugs? If no one is there to kill the bugs, then farmers need to devise new pesticides to kill the bugs that can be detrimental for environment or even for us.

Similarly, animals are useful as indicator of environmental quality. There are certain animals and plants are particularly good indicator of air pollution such as sulfur dioxide or excess ozone. For instance, in 1972, public concern over the decreasing population of the American bald eagle forced the U.S to ban on production and sale of the pesticide DDT. This chemical was later found as a severe cancer-causing agent in humans. If it were not for the eagle, we might not have learnt about the effects of some contaminants till more harm was done.

To sum up, many seemingly insignificant animals might be utmost important to human race. I believe that each animal and its ecological niche are as significant as any human establishment. We have to protect the endangered animals at any cost for the sake of human race itself. For that, we must ensure the habitat of endangered animals so that they cannot go to extinction.

Sample Answer 2:
Civilization is the outcome of human efforts. In this civilized sphere, the increasing population and their changing lifestyle are going ahead with the name of development. The development is embodied on farmland, housing and industry. Some people think that human needs for farmland, housing, and industry are more important than saving land for endangered animals. Meanwhile, others argue against this.

At the present context, the world population is approximately 7 billion. In this regard, each and every country has their population in accordance with their areas. In third world countries population is one of the burning issues compared to developed countries. The nature of consummation of increasing population needs is rising. Besides, industrialization with urbanization has made a ground of a new change. Living standard is being developed in its own way. In this process, human needs farmland, housing and industry. Abundant land is essential for housing and employing the rising population. In this regard, sometimes forests are being extricated.

On the other hand, from different standpoint people are making farmland, house and industry as well as they are threatening for the animals. They use futile land and forest also for housing and industry. That’s why; no sanctuary is for the protection of animals. These types of animals are being extinct. It is found in a survey now 319 tigers are living in the Sundarbans. Furthermore, other animals are becoming very few. Consequently, Ecological balance cannot be ensured.

However, Human being is the paramount creation in this world. Animals or other living things are created for necessity of human being. But if we want to maintain our surroundings for our survival, we must concern about animals or other living things because our existence relies upon proper inhabitation of animals and forests. Considering all this, I am strongly convinced myself that only focusing on farmland, housing and industry we cannot endanger our environment, forest and animals. We must undertake some initiatives to make a sanctuary so that animal can be protected.
