Sample Answer:
The issue whether children ought to be needed to assist with household chores as soon as they are able to do so has sparked a heated debate. In many circles of society, it is believed that children should help their parents with house chores. On the other hand, there are many a people who contend that children should spend most of their spare time on their own. While both the notions have its merits, I would rather lean on the second argument than the first one. The following reasons could explain why.
When children do house chores, they learn responsibility towards family, society, and eventually nation. The lesson they can learn is that life requires works. Building responsibilities from an early stage makes youngsters responsible and capable adults. The children who do house chores regularly feel a sense of self-worth and can hone their several skills. They are also prone to demonstrate their responsibility in all spheres of life. These children manifest a great extent of self-esteem and seem themselves as an integral part of their family. This attitude makes them feel the importance of society and they can contribute the nation greatly.
But, life has several stages like childhood, boyhood, and adulthood, and every stage requires something particular that suit the stage. Consequently, childhood is a stage when children should study fast, then their spare time should be spent on playing, gossiping with peers or anything they are interested in. Study is most important activity that a child should involve in first, because, without quality education, no one can succeed in this cut-throat competitive modern world. Then they should play or gossip with their peers. Playing keeps them physically and mentally fit and they can be sociable by gossiping with friends. Actually, in their leisure time, we should let them do what they crave for doing, except harmful activities. This will help them keep attentive to their core responsibility, study.
At this juncture, I would like to say that too much of anything is very detrimental whether it is house cores or their freedom to do whatever they want to. Therefore, parents should make a schedule for them in a good proportion so that youngsters could be well-rounded.
