IELTS General Writing Task 1 with sample answer.
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You visited a museum recently with an elderly relative. However, he or she had difficulty walking around the museum. Write a letter to the manager and say:
- whom did you visit the museum with?
- what problems did he or she face?
- suggest a solution that will improve the museum visit experience for an elderly person.
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any address.
Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir,
I visited your museum last with my grandfather. We were very excited about the visit, but regrettably it was not as pleasant experience as we thought. Let me elucidate.
My grandfather is in his late sixties and has difficulty to stand or walk for an extended time period. We were expecting that the authority would arrange a wheel chair so that my grandfather could see the exhibits but unfortunately there is not any wheel chair for elderly. Consequently, we left the museum without seeing most exhibits as we had to leave just within half an hour. It was quite frustrating because we planned to spend the whole day in order to be acquainted with our history and heritage that is being exhibited in the museum.
I would appreciate if you take necessary action in order for wheel so that the senior citizens could visit the museum comfortable. In addition to this, a medical team would be a great idea. However, please let me when wheel chair would be available as it would great pleasure for us to visit the museum again.
