You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You are planning a two-week vacation, and you need someone to take care of your house while you are away. Write a letter to your neighbour.
In your letter:
Tell your neighbour that you are going away, ask your neighbour to take care of your house for you and explain what tasks you would like your neighbour to do.
You should write at least 150 words.
Sample Answer:
Dear Laolu,
I am writing to inform you that I am going on a two-week holiday in Europe. This is expedient for me because I have been given a month’s leave and the company has arranged for my family and I to spend some time in Sweden.
Having said this, I would like to ask you for a favour if you do not mind. I would want you to help me look after and also take care of my house while I am away. You can instruct your maid to assist me in sweeping and cleaning my house, switching on and off the security lights at 7 pm and 7 am respectively.
In addition, you can also be on the lookout for any visitor who knocks at my gate or drops a letter in the post box outside.
I am sorry for any inconveniences this might cause you. I will be leaving on Monday next week. Thanks.
