IELTS General Writing Task 1 with sample answer.
You have recently moved to a new house, and you want to invite an old friend to stay with you for a week.
Write a letter to your friend. In the letter,
– invite him/her to stay and suggest a date
– briefly describe the new house
– say why you like your new house
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Amrita,
Hope this letter finds you in good health and spirit. I’m writing to let you know that I’ve recently moved to a bigger house near Hampbag town, which is much closer to your town than it previously was. I’m also writing to invite you to stay in my new house with me for at least a week.
You can perhaps stay with me between 7th till 14th September after which I’ve a plan to visit my mom. So if this is not a much inconvenient schedule, please plan to travel on 6th September.
The new house where I’ve recently moved in has a big garden in front of it and offers an excellent sea-side view. It’s just half a kilometre away from the seashore and has a big garden in front of it. This house is a 3 thousand square feet independent house – a bit bigger for a family of just four members.
I love my new house. It offers a far superior view, nearby amenities and access to a sea. How exciting it is! Please come and see for yourself. Can’t wait to have you with me.
