IELTS General Writing Task 1 with sample answer.
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You have met an old friend in another city on your last business trip. Now you are going on another business trip in the same city and want to meet him/her again. Write a letter to your friend and say:
- Express your excitement about the last meeting.
- Give details about your new business trip.
- Suggest an arrangement to meet again.
You should write at least 150 words.
Sample Answer:
Dear Anna,
I hope this letter finds you in good health. Last month when I flew into your city, I have never imagined that this exhausted trip would turned to one of the most memorable trip which I had ever and all of this just because seen you in hotel. It was like a miracle that I saw you that day; I felt my heart stopped beating for a second.
Since I am a lucky person my company is going to send me to another business trip in your city. I have already booked a flight and my arrival date would be on 22th of June around 6pm. I am supposed to be there for a whole week. However, I should attend to an important conference which will take me busy for 2-3 days.
I think it would be great if we meet each other on weekend and have launch together. Plus, I will be glad to see you every night at my hotel too.
