You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
Your neighbours have recently written to you to complain about the noise from your house’s flat.Write a letter to your neighbours. In your letter:
- explain the reasons for the noise
- apologize
- describe what action you will take
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any address.
Begin your letter as follows:

Dear James & Catharine,
I hope this letter will find you in good health. I am very ashamed after getting your letter. However, I am extremely sorry that the noise from my flat bothered you last night. But I never thought that it could reach you, so I hope you will accept my apology.
Let me explain this matter in details. As you may have surmised that, I was mending my kitchen cabinet in the night after getting home from work last night. But the pity is that it is worse than I expected and I could not fix it. Moreover, it only caused a lot of hammering and banging.
As the cabinet has not yet fixed, I have already called the trader that he will repair it tomorrow. I give you assurance that he will work only the day time. Hope that would not irritate you anymore.
