You have a friend who lives in another country. Write a letter to your friend about your plan to work overseas.
In your letter, explain:
- what type of job you plan to do
- explain why you want to work overseas
- ask for some information related to jobs, such as salary, working hours and so on
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Kim,
Hope you’re doing excellent. It’s been really long since we last wrote to each other. I guess you’d be excited to learn that I’ve decided to work in the UK where you currently reside.
As for the type of job I’d be interested in, it has to be a full-time job in the marketing department in an electronics manufacturing company. As you know, my education and job experience, as well as my passion, make me a suitable candidate for this position.
I’d like to work in the UK to further accelerate my career prospects and use the knowledge that I have gained from my graduate course in the UK. I also have a plan to get into the electronic manufacturing business in the future, and I believe working overseas would be the best possible option for me now to get ready for that.
As you’ve got a wide social and professional circle in the UK, I hope you’d be able to help me with this. I’d love to hear from you about the availability of the kind of job that I’ve in my mind including the education and experience requirements. Please also give me an idea about the salary, working duration and condition of such a job.
