You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
On a recent holiday you lost a valuable item. Fortunately you have travel insurance to cover the cost of anything lost.
Write a letter to the manager of your insurance company. In your letter:
- describe the item you lost
- explain how you lost it
- tell the insurance company what you would like them to.
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any address.
Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sirs,
I am writing this letter to make a claim for my lost wedding ring as I have taken out my travel insurance from your company that covers any lost items during the trip. It was a blue 12 carat oval Ceylon sapphire surrounded by a cluster of 12 diamonds set in 18ct white gold. It was lost during the holiday trip last week. Let me explain the whole incident for you.
Last week, I was in Australia with my family on a holiday trip. On the last day of our tour, it was raining during our trip by boat in the river. Suddenly the weather became ferocious and our boat sank near the dock. I jump in the river to save a six-years-old boy and after I reached home after the catastrophe I noticed that my ring was missing.
I had it in the morning when I put on it after having a shower. I retraced my steps, but could not find it and if it was lost in the river, there is no way I could find it again.
Explained the whole situation, now, it would be greatly appreciated if your company would give the claim of 1000$.
