Sample Answer:

Violence in media, such as in video games, television shows, and films, has been a contentious issue for many years. Some people believe that such media directly results in violent behaviour, while others believe that this is not the case. In my opinion, there is evidence to suggest that violent media can have an effect on behaviour, but there are also numerous other factors at play.

It is evident that violence in media can have a detrimental effect on people’s behaviour. Research has shown that people who play violent video games are more likely to engage in violent behaviour, such as aggression and even physical violence. Similarly, studies have found that people who watch violent television shows are more likely to become aggressive and angry. This is because they are exposed to such acts of violence and it can become normalised.

However, the effects of violent media on behaviour cannot be overstated. There are many other factors that can contribute to violent behaviour. For example, people’s upbringing and environment can play an important role in how they act. People’s personalities can also influence how they behave, and if they are predisposed to being aggressive then they are more likely to act in a violent manner.

In conclusion, while there is evidence to suggest that violent media can have an effect on behaviour, this is only part of the picture. People’s upbringing and environment are also important factors in determining how they act. Therefore, it is difficult to definitively say that violent media directly results in violent behaviour.
