Sample Answer:

The decreasing population of animals and plants across the world is a serious concern that needs to be addressed. This essay will discuss the causes of this problem and will provide possible solutions for its solution.

The primary cause of the decline in the population of animals and plants is the destruction of their natural habitats. Due to population growth, urbanisation and industrialisation, land that was once wild is now being used for agricultural and industrial purposes. This has deprived animals and plants of their natural habitats, causing them to migrate to other places or perish. Furthermore, excessive hunting and poaching of animals for their meat and skin have also contributed to the decline in their population.

In order to address this issue, several steps need to be taken. Firstly, governments should implement stringent laws to protect animals and plants and punish those who break them. This will help to reduce the rate of hunting and poaching. Secondly, protected areas should be established where animals and plants can live without fear of being hunted or disturbed. Additionally, reforestation should be encouraged in order to restore the balance of nature. Through this, natural habitats will be restored and the populations of animals and plants can be increased.

Moreover, campaigns should be conducted to create awareness among people about the importance of preserving animals and plants. People need to be educated about the consequences of destroying the natural environment and the importance of preserving biodiversity. This can be done through public awareness campaigns and educational programmes. Additionally, people should be encouraged to use products that are eco-friendly and to reduce their consumption of animal products.

In conclusion, the decline in the population of animals and plants is a serious problem that needs to be addressed. It can be solved by implementing stringent laws, establishing protected areas, encouraging reforestation, and conducting awareness campaigns. If these steps are taken, the population of animals and plants can be increased, which will help to maintain a healthy balance of nature.
