Sample Answer:
The earth has been developed enormously with the advent of sophisticated technologies. Parallel to this, greenhouse effect, deforestation, drought are the fatal consequence of human activities that lead the world in a vulnerable situation day by day. In many circles, it is believed that every invention contributes to the earth for being better. However, I am of the honest opinion that the negative effects outweigh the positive effects.
To start with, the rapid development of industrialization causes great harm to the earth. Every year, thousand tons of wastage are being dumped into the rivers or oceans. In addition, emissions from factories intoxicate the air in every moment. As a result, global warming is the pressing problem right now that contributes several natural calamities such as, tsunami, acid rain, earthquake, drought, and so on.
Likewise, unplanned urbanization also escalates the harmful effects to the planet. In every moment, in some part of the world, human beings are deforesting to build new constructions. Consequently, they are cutting off hundreds of thousands trees in each moment. Which by consequence endangers many species. Therefore, it is not only contribute to the climate change, but also damages to the habitat and biodiversity.
Similarly, human beings harm earth in many ways to lead a luxurious life. They are exploiting natural resources in every moment. For example, they build dams in river to produce electricity which harms the rivers greatly results in salinity in soil. They are cutting off trees for manufacturing furniture and for other uses. In addition human beings causes extinction of many wild life. As an example, human beings are hunting animals for fashion and style. However, it is an undeniable fact that every living being in this earth is useful in some way to the mankind. Therefore, destroying other species means destroying us.
In conclusion, I would like to say that we need progress but not at the cost of our planet. Our every activity should be eco-friendly. And only then, we are able to remain our planet healthy for living.
