Sample Answer:
People can learn with or without a teacher. The most common learning process is learning from teachers, though, I am of the honest opinion that self learning process is the best approach for students. Self learning makes student understanding how to learn. It widens students’ horizon of knowledge, develops abilities, and thus, helps to build confidence. Most importantly, it prepares students for the future.
To start with, the most important aspect of self learning is that pupil can understand how to learn. They explore several ways of solving problem and during the process they take part actively in the process. When he can engage actively in the process, he can know how to learn. And if he knows how to learn, then he can solve problems he has never faced before because everybody has the potential to solve problems on their own regardless of their age and abilities.
In self learning process, students need to figure out how to solve problems independently. They approach the several ways of thinking and go through difficult concepts on their own. This helps them to optimize their educational experience, allowing them to emphasize effort on useful information that they do not possess and, exposing them to information that they do not have access to through passive learning process. This, ultimately, broadens students’ periphery of knowledge, fosters their abilities which by consequence firm students’ confidence.
Today the rapid growth in technology makes almost every skill obsolete which may has been on the cutting edge just a few years before. The person who is not capable of learning independently cannot cope with this fast pace of society and technological advancement. This is where self learning comes into play. First, it is necessary just to cope with the flow. Second, it opens up a whole new series of career and entrepreneurial opportunities as well as personal achievement. Thus, future waits for the self learners.
In conclusion, the explosive growth in technology often frustrates the well educated person armed with skills that can swiftly become obsolete as the world transforms around them. Those who do not adapt with the pace left behind. In this case, only the self learners can go ahead proudly.
