Sample Answer:
Success is a subjective term and can mean different things to different people. Whilst some may think that those who possess great wealth are the most successful, others consider those who make a positive contribution to society, such as scientists and teachers, to be more successful. This essay will discuss both arguments and provide my own viewpoint.
On the one hand, it can be argued that those who make a lot of money are the most successful. Wealth is associated with power and status, and these individuals are often considered to be the most influential. They have the means to support their families, live in luxury and have access to the best healthcare and education. Moreover, money can be used to help those in need and provide financial stability for the generations to come.
On the other hand, it is claimed that those who make a difference to the world and to people’s lives, such as teachers and scientists, are more successful than those who are wealthy. Scientists and teachers dedicate themselves to their work and often have a passion for what they do. They can make a positive impact on society by offering knowledge, enabling individuals to reach their potential and by making the world a better place. Furthermore, they are often respected in their communities and are seen as role models.
Having considered both sides of the argument, I believe that the most successful individuals are those who use their wealth to make a difference to the world. This can be done through philanthropic work, such as funding scientific research and educational programmes, or providing support to those in need. It is not necessarily the amount of money that someone has, but how it is used, that makes them successful.
In conclusion, whilst some people may feel that those who are wealthy are the most successful, others may contend that scientists and teachers are more successful. In my opinion, those who use their money to improve the lives of others and make a positive difference to the world are the most successful.
