Some people play sport when they are young but then stop doing physical exercise when they become adults
Why is this?
What can be done to solve this problem?
The fact that many people stop doing physical exercise as they transition from youth to adulthood is a cause for concern. This essay will discuss the reasons why this may occur and will suggest some solutions to this dilemma.
A key reason why adults may cease to do physical exercise is that their lifestyle changes. As people get older, their priorities tend to shift from leisure activities to their careers and/or families. This can mean that there simply isn’t enough time to participate in sport and exercise. Additionally, many adults may find that other commitments, such as work, get in the way of their ability to engage in physical activity. Furthermore, older adults may not have access to the same resources, such as organised sports teams, that they had when they were younger.
Fortunately, there are ways to encourage adults to exercise. Firstly, governments can invest in public sports facilities, such as swimming pools and running tracks, which are accessible and affordable to all. Additionally, local authorities can promote physical activity by organising sports tournaments, races and other activities. Furthermore, employers can introduce flexible working arrangements, such as allowing employees to take short breaks throughout the day to take part in physical exercise.
In conclusion, adults may stop doing physical exercise for many reasons, such as a change in lifestyle and commitments. However, there are several measures that can be taken to address this, such as investing in public sports facilities, organising tournaments and races, and introducing flexible working arrangements. If these strategies are implemented, it is likely that more adults will be encouraged to be physically active.
