Sample Answer:

Nowadays, technology seems to be increasingly embedded into our lives, with many people owning devices such as smart phones, tablets and mobiles. It is argued that these devices bring more disadvantages than advantages, but I disagree.

To begin with, one of the key advantages of using these devices is that they can provide us with access to a variety of information. For example, smart phones allow us to access the internet, so we can easily access news, search for information and look up details of places to visit. Furthermore, these devices are also helpful for staying in touch with family and friends, as we can use them to make calls, send messages and even video call.

Another advantage is that these devices can also be used to entertain us, as they provide us with access to a range of apps, games and social media. For example, a number of apps allow us to play online games with friends, while streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu allow us to watch TV shows and movies. Moreover, these devices can even be used to listen to music and podcasts.

Moreover, it could be argued that these devices can even help us to become more productive. For instance, many people use their smart phones to organise their daily lives and tasks, by setting reminders and goals. Additionally, a number of apps also provide us with tools to help us focus and stay productive, such as Pomodoro timers and task management apps.

On the other hand, some people may claim that these devices bring more disadvantages than advantages. For example, some people may become too reliant on their devices, which can lead to them neglecting their social lives. Moreover, these devices can also cause people to be distracted, as they often receive notifications from social media and emails.

In conclusion, while it is true that these devices can lead to some disadvantages, I believe that the advantages of having access to information, staying in touch with family and friends, and becoming more productive outweigh the potential drawbacks.
