Sample Answer:
Today, the concept of education has changed a lot. Education does not confine to only the academic activities. Thereby, schools need to play an extended role than ever. For that, many people outcry that physical exercise should be included in the daily program of schools, while other oppose the claim and they suggest that should be involved in only academic studies. In my opinion, I think that school should include physical exercise for the overall growth of student. Because overall development is essential for success and survival in this increasingly competitive world.

To begin with, regular physical exercise in childhood and adolescence hones strength and endurance, aid to build healthy muscles and bones, helps control weight, calms stress and anxiety, increases self-esteem, and so on.

According to U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, young people aged 6-17 years should take part in at least 60 minutes of physical exercise daily. Physical exercise increases oxygen and blood flow to the brain that improve mood and help students remain calm while they are angry or stressed out. However, if students engage whole day in academic activities, they will become exhausted soon. This results in lack of interest that will lead them to the distraction for study. So, they need some time break to refueling energy. In the case, physical exercise is the silver bullet to keep student active at school is an outstanding way to better focus on academic studies.

In addition, academic activities and physical condition go hand in hand. That is to say that they complement one another. For example, if a student is not physically fit or gets ill, then how he or she can attend the classes regularly. This shows that physical exercise has direct links in contribution of academic outcome. Physical exercise keep students’ body hale and healthy that ensures better academic result.

To wrap up, I would like to say that physical exercise is just as important as academic activities, and should receive equal attention. So, schools should promote physical activities by comprehensive school physical activity programs comprised of classroom-based physical activity, recess, interscholastic sports, intramural physical activity clubs, and so forth.
