The chart below shows the percentage change in the share of international students among university graduates in different Canadian provinces between 2001 and 2006.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given illustration presents information about the percentage changes of international students’ share in different universities in Canada from the year 2001 to 2006. Overall, the percentage of internationals students in the universities in given eight provinces increased significantly in 2006 than it was in 2001.

Initially in 2001, the graduate universities in New Brunswick were about 7%, which was largest percentage among the given universities of the eight Canadian provinces. Graduate student’s share in universities in Nova Scotia and Quebec provinces were just over 5% while this percentage in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador and Ontario were less than 5%.

After 5 years, in the year 2006, this percentage of international graduate students in university level in the given eight provinces increased significantly. In New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and British Columbia each the percentage increased to over 10.  Mentionable increase could be observed for the universities of other provinces as well. The lowest percentage was in Ontario which was about 7% compared to the about 3% in 2001. In summary, the international students among the graduate level in different provinces in Canada increased to more than double in 2006 than in was in 5 years earlier.
