Sample Answer:
Undoubtedly, the uncontrolled growth of driving has caused unexpected consequences. Actually, one of the most severe problems that these days urban areas have to face is traffic congestion. Therefore, the following composition is to present the most common reasons as well as potential measures to tackle the problem mentioned.
To begin with, it is entirely true to admit that there is a growing tendency of using cars in cities. Indeed, car ownership has increased significantly due to the mobility and fast of travelling by car. Therefore, more and more people are determined to own cars and use them every day to go to work, shopping and so on. Apart from that, the attitude among drivers could also lead to traffic congestion. Besides the substantial increase in cars, there is also one reason that leads to traffic jams – the traffic behaviour among those driving cars. For example, having limited traffic-related knowledge as well as bad behaviour when driving causes more traffic jams in many big cities. Certainly, people tend to be in a rush when a traffic jam occurs. This would be the most crucial reason why many cities confront this
In order to deal with the problem, the following solutions should be considered seriously. Apparently, the government should take responsibility so as to solve the problem as soon as possible. First of all, the authorities should encourage citizens to follow traffic car-share policy. This means people use one car to share with their relatives instead of purchasing a car for each member. As a result, the proportion of cars would drop considerably. Besides, public transportation should also be constructed and introduced widely to the public. Not only that, but the cost of these means of transport should also reduce to attract more passengers.
In brief, as discussed above, there are certain reasons as well as possible methods to handle the problem presented. In my opinion, I strongly concur that the increase in using cars is the main reason which creates traffic congestion in urban areas and some effective measures can be used to discourage people from buying cars that they actually can do without.
