This essay will consider the possible reasons for this, and suggest a few ways in which people can be encouraged to stay active.

To begin with, it is important to consider why older individuals do not exercise regularly. One potential explanation is that they may not understand the benefits of exercise, or be unaware of the potential risks associated with a sedentary lifestyle. Additionally, some may lack the motivation to exercise, and fear that they will not be able to keep up with the more strenuous forms of physical activity.
