To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Sample Answer:

Nowadays, large companies have been increasingly utilizing sports events to market their products. Some people consider this to have a negative effect on sports. In this essay, I am going to discuss both sides of the argument and explain why I believe that this does not necessarily have a negative impact.

On the one hand, there are some disadvantages of large companies using sports events to advertise their products. Firstly, in some cases, the promotion of products can take away from the focus of the sports event itself. It is possible for the promotion of products to overshadow the sports teams, athletes, and competitions, putting too much emphasis on the promotion of products. Secondly, sponsorship from large companies can lead to a rise in ticket prices, meaning that the average person may be unable to attend the sports event. This could lead to a decrease in the popularity of the sports event, and have a negative impact on the sports itself.

On the other hand, there are some advantages of large companies using sports events to advertise their products. Firstly, the revenue generated from sponsorship can be used to support the sports themselves. The money can be used to provide new equipment, hire new coaches, or provide better training facilities. Secondly, these sponsorship deals can help to increase the popularity of the sports. This means that more people may attend the sports event, and it may even attract people who may not have watched the sports previously. This could bring more people to the sports, increasing the popularity of the event.

In conclusion, while there are some disadvantages of large companies using sports events to advertise their products, I believe that this does not necessarily have a negative impact on sports. The revenue generated from the sponsorship can be used to support the sports, and the increased popularity of the sports event could bring more people to the event. Therefore, I believe that overall, this does not have a negative effect on sports.
