You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You have just bought a new mobile phone from a website on the internet. When it was delivered, the phone was faulty. Write a letter to the website. In the letter:
- introduce yourself
- explain the situation
- state what action you want to be taken
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any address.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear _ ,
My name is John Gray. The reason I am writing is to make a complaint about the mobile phone I purchased from your online store on 12 January, 2016. I have been a regular customer of yours for more than five years and have made many successful purchase over the years. Regrettably, however, I am displeased with the service you have provided.
The handset I ordered was the latest smart phone, Sony Xperia Z5. A compelling reason for choosing the model was that you advertised it on your website as having power button with the finger print sensor. Your ad announce that all one need to do is push the power button and the sensor reads his finger print at the same time. Unfortunately, this function does not work properly. Whenever I push the power button, it takes 2 to 3 minutes to read my finger print.
As a longtime customer, I wish to have the mobile phone replaced and reimburse me for the cost of returning it.
I look forward to settling the matter amicably.
