Sample Answer:
It is often seen that a student, when goes to a new school, encounters many difficulties. However, people seem to get used to anything, and it is a short step from adaptation to attachment. In the case, the school can take some programs, so that he can be familiar to the ambiance and can make his usual performance.

First of all, the school administration can arrange formal or informal orientation program. In that program, they can introduce the new student to the class and can encourage other students in helping the student, so that he can mingle with everybody and can make friendship. In addition, the student should be introduced the background of the school as well as the rules & regulations in order to be familiar more about the school where he is going to study. Furthermore, he can learn about what he is permitted to and what restrictions are.

Second, the school should have a good student counselor who will meet the new student at least once a week for reasonable months. The counselor should also discuss regularly with the student’s teachers to be sure that he is progressing in his studies. For example, when I was kid I was moved from school at my hometown to one in the other city. At first, I felt so lost; even I could not accustom with the new atmosphere by any means. But the counselor of the school helped me to come out from that situation. Every week he met me to ask whether I had any problem or not and if any, he solved the problem smartly. Not only that, he also kept in touch with my teachers to be informed of my progression. He was intelligent and amiable enough that I felt better within a few days just for him.

Third, the teachers can play a vital role for the new student. Initially, they should pay a special attention to the student so that they can understand the level of the new students. That is to say, knowing the level, they can explain better their coursework to him. They also can encourage peers to be helpful with the student so that he can adapt with the school soon. As they are with the student most times, they can find the student’s difficulties more than others. They can help the students themselves, or ask for further assistance from the administrators or counselor.

To put it in a nutshell, the school administration, counselor, and teachers can make a conducive atmosphere so that the new student can overcome his difficulties. Although, the adaptation time differs from individual to individual, but if the school ensures above mentioned activities, the student will go over more easily over this difficult situation, I think.
