Sample Answer:
Time is the most precious asset one has in his life. He may or may not discern it yet, but how he utilizes or do not utilizes his time is going to be the best sign of where his future is going to take him. In the case, how time is used differs man to man. Many people use their time in the way they should, while others spend it on merely personal pleasure or the things they love to do. However, the statement that people today spend too much time on personal enjoyment-doing things they like to do- rather than doing things they should do is much generalized notion. I do not agree with the notion and I believe that people, in most cases, do what they should do.

In the contemporary society, people struggle with so many challenges in their daily life. Executives everywhere complain about lacking time on the one hand and workers toil some of the longest hours on the other hand. Employers need not to offer their employees a fair amount of holidays, but even when they offer, their workers rarely utilize the lot. Glassdoor, an consultancy of U.S, conducted a survey that reveals that the average workers enjoys only half of what is allotted, and 15% do not take any holiday at all. People trade time for more money. They are working longer hours than ever before. This is because the soaring costs of certain basics like food, health care, education, have forced people to work seemingly 24/7. In addition, in the corporate world, there are few lucrative positions that people eager to possess. Which is why, the struggle to achieve a position on that narrow pedestal inspires people to slave away for incomparably long hours.

Again, today leisure time has become the stuff of myth. Many people spend their spare time staring at a screen of some kind, even though engaging other things like visiting friends or enjoying music, tends to make them happier. They think that they will cash in on all their stored leisure time when they finally retire and meanwhile being busy has its reward. People are terribly busy. Everywhere, everyone is running, running, running. They have no time for squandering. People are trading their time for all kinds of things.

All in all, you may find some procrastinators, but most people are terribly busy to meet standard lifestyle. In this fast pace of society, people do not have enough time to spend on what they like to do or on their own.
