Sample Answer:
The given data provides information on the four items sold in a coffee shop in an office building for a typical day. The table data presents the sales volume of coffee, tea, pastries and sandwiches in four different times of a typical weekday. Overall, the sales volume of coffee, tea and pastry were higher in the early morning and in the evening while more sandwiches were sold from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm.

As is observed from the table data, 265 cups of coffee were sold in the morning (from 7.30 – 10.30 am) which was more than twice than the sales volume of tea (110 cups) during these hours. People ate 275 pastries and only 50 sandwiches during this time. After 10.30 am till 2.30 pm the sales volume of sandwiches was highest with 200 sales contrary to the 952 pastry sales, 50 cup tea sales and 1852 coffee sales. After 2.30 till 5.30 pm most sold item in this coffee shop were coffee and pastries with 145 and 150 sales respectively. During these hours sales of tea and sandwiches were only 35 and 40 consecutively. Finally the shop’s sales till 8.30 pm after 5.30 increased overall with the 200 cup coffee sales compared to the 75 cup tea sale. During these hours more sandwiches (110) were sold than that of pastries (80).
