The charts below give information on the ages of the populations of Yemen and Italy in 2000 and projections for 2050.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Sample Answer:
The provided pie charts compare the populations of different ages dividing them in three age groups in Yemen and Italy and also give projection of these proportions for the year 2050.

As is presented in the charts, the children were more than the half of the total population on Yemen in 2000. Aged people in this year were less than 4% of total population in Yemen. Finally people from 15 to 59 years old were remaining 46% of total population. In summary, Yemen had more children and very few old people in the year 2000. Now the projection shows that in 2050, the proportion of children in Yemen will decrease to 37% while the number of old people will increase. People from 15 to 59 age-group would be the dominating proportion making above 57% of total people of the country.

In case of Italy, there were very few number of children (only around 14%) compared to the Yemen’s scenario in 2000. The dominating age group of Italy in this year was 15 to 59 contributing more than 61% of total population. The senior citizens were higher in number than the percentage of Yemeni senior citizens in this year. Finally, the projection for Italian citizens in the year 2050 depicts that the number of senior citizens who are above 60 years old will be almost half of the total population. In 2050, there will be fewer children in Italy compared to the statistics of 2000.
