The provided bar graphs compare the conditions of education sector of developing and developed countries in 1980 and 1990.
According to the first bar graph, initially in 1980, the average schooling years in industrialised countries was over 8 years which was almost 4 times than the total years of schooling in developing countries. After 10 years, the average schooling years both in industrialised and developing countries increased but their gap remained almost same.
According to the second bar graph, industrialised countries had far more scientists and technicians (over 40 per thousand) than that of developing countries (only 10 scientists and technicians among one thousand people) in 1980. The number of such scientists and technicians increased significantly after 10 years in developed countries (over 70 per thousand) while the number of such professionals increased slightly in developing countries. The gap between these two types of countries in terms of their ratio of scientists and technicians increased noticeably.
Final bar graph shows the total spending on research and development in developing and industrialised countries. As is observed, the total spending on research and development in a developed countries were around 150 billion US Dollar in 1980 compared to the 50 billion in developing countries. After 10 years this spending increased significantly in developed countries reaching over 350 billion US dollar. Surprisingly the spending on research and development in developing countries after 10 years got decreased to only 20 billion US dollar.
