The given diagram presents data on the global market share of five cell phone manufacturers from 2009 to 2013. Overall, Samsung’s market share of mobile phone increased over time while the market share of Nokia was highest in early 2009 and that gradually decreased over time.

The bar graph depicts the global cell phone market share of Samsung, Apple, Nokia, LG and ZTE brands from 1009 to 2013 in millions of unit sold. Initially in 2009, Nokia had the largest market share of cell phone (over 400 million unit sold). Samsung in this year hold the second largest market share with their approximately 250 million unit sold. Apple on the contrary had only about 20 million units cell phone sold and stood in the fifth position among the given cell phone brands. After 2 years the market position of Samsung increased by about 100 million more sells while the market share of Nokia decreased by around 20 million less sells. In this year total sells of Apple increased to just about 100 million units.

Finally in 2013, Samsung became the largest cell phone selling brand with their approximately 450 million sells. Sales volume of apple also increased in this year and reached to over 150 million units which was almost double than that of 2011. Sales volume of LG decreased over year and ZTE showed some fluctuations on their sales volume over time. Nokia’s sales volume in 2013 decreased to just above 250 million but they still remained the second largest cell phone selling brand in the global market.
