Amount of Waste Production

Sample Answer:
The supplied table data gives information on the waste production in six countries from 1980 to 2000. Overall waste production in USA was significantly higher in the USA than other five countries.

According to the table data, initially in 1980 total garbage production in Ireland, Portugal and Poland were below 4 million tonnes compared to the 28 million tonnes in Japan and 131 tonnes in the USA. In this year US alone had far more wastage than all other countries’ combined wastages. After 10 years garbage production in all the given six countries increased. Finally in the year 2000, the waste production in the USA remained highest (192 million tonnes) while Japan produced second most garbage (53 million tonnes) and Korea stood in the third pace in terms of garbage production which was 19 million tonnes.

No data was given for the Korea and Ireland’s wastage production for 1980 and 1990.  Interestingly waste production in Korea reduced in 2000 than that of 10 years ago.
