amount of leisure time enjoyed

Sample Answer:
The given bar graph represents data on the leisure time spent by both male and female diving them in 5 categories. As is observed from the given chart, unemployed and retired people had more leisure time to enjoy than people with job and household tasks.

According to the bar chart, full time job holding males spent more than 40 hours leisure hours per week in the year 1998 & 1999 which was 4 hours higher than the leisure time spent by full time female employees. No data was given for the part time male employee while female job holders of this category had 40 hours leisure time in a week. In these years unemployed male and female enjoyed around 80 hours free time per week which is the highest among other categories. Retired persons also enjoyed an extended leisure hours which was almost similar to the unemployed category. Finally Housewives had more leisure time than employed females but less than the unemployed or retired category. From the given data, it is clear that female had less leisure time compared to men possibly because of women’s responsibility and social obligations at home.
