You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
A Canadian friend recently sent you a present by post. You want to thank him/her. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
- say how you felt when you received the present
- describe what you like about it
- explain how you will use the present
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any address.
Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Martin,
Thanks a lot for your stunning gift which I received yesterday. I was delighted at you remembering our wedding anniversary. It really was just what I crave for.
Much to my surprise, you choose microwave oven that is the perfect present we needed in our fast-paced life. Its convection capabilities bring about better result in astonishingly less time than a conventional microwave. Moreover, we can take control over the preparation of our meal with the ten power levels, as well as soften, defrost, melt, and reheat cycles. Furthermore, the sensor steam cook cycle steams our food and it even has an option to keep the food warm while we wait to serve it at our convenient time. We are using it from the day it was received, and it has become an indispensable part of our cooking experience.
Once again, thank you for the generous gift. It’ll remain with us for a long time to come and hopefully one day our children would use it. We appreciate your thoughtfulness.
