Sample Answer:

Dear Sirs,

I am writing regarding the poor customer service I received from the Lost Property Department. On 23rd November, while travelling to Sidney Airport from the hotel, accidentally I left my dark blue black bag in a taxi, which had the number CA 133 100 .

I was Sidney to attend a conference. After finishing the conference, I was in hurry to catch the flight. Anyway, while getting off the taxi, I was preoccupied by a mobile phone call. I got out the taxi and forget my bag. A research paper, and other professional documents relating to the conference “Food Security” were in the bag.

However, after a while I discern I left the bag in the taxi. Then immediately I called up the Lost Property Department. The person who answered the call was utterly rude and unprofessional.  He was not ready to hear my incident at all. He just cut off the call while I am explaining the incident. I am writing to seek help in getting my bag with the documents back. Please courier it to my office address. I am more than willing to cover the cost of a courier.

I look forward to hearing you soon.

Yours faithfully,
Brian A Jones
