You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You have decided to leave your current employment with ABC Casual Services.
Write a letter to your employer’s manager, Jill Kodak. Include the following in your letter:
- explain why you are writing
- explain why you have decided to leave the company
- tell your employer what you plan to do after leaving your present employment
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any address.
Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Mr. Jill,
Please accept this official resignation letter from the Sales Manager post in your company, effective from February, 2016.
I never thought I would ever leave such a great organization like ABC, when the opportunity appeared to further my career in marketing as a sales manager, which has always been an aim, I simply thought that a promising opportunity for me career. As I am going to work at Square Consumer Limiter, I want to apply all the skills I have honed from ABC, particularly how to build camaraderie in an organization to meet its goal. Anyway, I will be given a branch office in Brisbane and my key responsibility will be exploring a new market.
I hope and pray for ABC to be successful in every step. Finally, I appreciate all your professional and personal advice in my years of service with your company. It would be great if we will stay in touch as I open the new horizon in my life.
I am still proud to be a member of your company and will remember the great time and learning opportunities I had here.
