You have recently bought a Telephone with answer machine from an online shop. The web page said that the answer machine shows you a list of who left a message so you can choose which to play first. But after taking it home you find out that only the most recent call is kept in the calls list.

Write an e-mail letter to the store manager. In your e-mail:

say who you are
explain the problem
say what action you would like the store to take

You should write at least 150 words.

You do NOT need to write any address.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir,

I am Geoffrey Chaucer, an online customer of your eCommerce website. On 15 August, I bought a telephone with an answer machine from you online store, eBay. I received it on 17 August, but when I started using it, I discovered that it just kept the most recent calls in the call list. This is the not what the web page declared that the device would show me a list of who left the massages so I could choose which to play first.

This is the explicitly breach of contract and eventually, I am entitled to a replace along with all deliver costs. I would request that you confirm in the next 4 days that you will provide this remedy and that you will cover the cost of the defective device being returned to you.

If I do not receive this confirmation, I will have no alternative but to raise a dispute through the eBay Buyer Protection dispute resolution process or to consider court action.
