You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You had a minor accident in the kitchen of your rented apartment. Write a letter to your landlord explaining what had happened.
In your letter you have to explain what had happened, the extent of damage / problem and what you expect the landlord to do.
You do NOT need to write any address.
Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Mr Michel,
The letter is written to inform you that we had a minor accident in the kitchen room of your flat. In this letter, I want to explain you exactly what happened yesterday.
Yesterday I was cooking some mutton in the pressure cooker. Mistakenly, I had filled the cooker beyond its limit. As a result, the cooked mutton blocked the vent that led to explosion. Fortunately, I was in my bed room at the time of accident that I was not injured. But the switch board has burnt and the wall was spoiled by the spewed mutton. Although apart from these, everything is alright, no other appliance can be used due to the burning of the switch board. I do need your help on this matter soon.
I would like to offer to cover the cost of the damages as I am the cause of this incident. It would be so kind of you if you come here and see what happened so that you would take appropriate action promptly.
