You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
The street where you live is in poor condition. Write a letter to City Council. In your letter:
- explain the situation
- explain the likely consequence
- describe the change you expect to occur
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any address.
Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir,
I am writing concerning poor water supply condition in our street. We have not had a safe and sustainable water supply. Each day a person needs at least 50 litres water so as to ensure food hygiene, personal hygiene, laundry needs, and domestic cleaning, whereas, we get only 30 litres, and even someday we do not get any water. This leads to unbearable sufferings for the people in our community.
The scarcity of safe drinking water is associated with several diseases such as Cholera and other diarrheal diseases. If this condition is prolonged few more days, we would face pandemic and epidemic diseases and which by consequence may swell the number of infant mortality. In addition to this, the elderly people would also be infected by diseases due to inadequate access to safe water. We, thus, are in a vulnerable situation due to the poor supply of water.
I am writing to ask you to please make up the scarcity of safe water in our locality. We must need water supply at least twice a day. I look forward to your prompt action with regard to this issue.
