IELTS Speaking: Cue Card
Describe a special school or college event that you remember well.
You should say:

- what happened during it
- who was there
and explain why you remember this event so well.
Cue Card Answer:
Thank you for this great cue card topic. I can still remember the day when the result of the first year was published. In fact, this was one of the most memorable days of my life. The entire event was upsetting for me but somehow I managed everything. In fact, I could not believe that the event would be so memorable to me. I lament for the day even today and wish I could go back there!
It was the event of announcing the result for the first year examination. In fact, it was the gateway to enter into the next level of higher secondary. And I was surprised that I stood first in all the exams. So, it was an important event for me and my family. The teachers were glad too for this outstanding result. To be honest with you, I was a moderate student and scoring such a good score was beyond my imagination. So, at first, I could not believe that it was true. Later, I believed that the scores were mine and everyone was happy.
I am the only daughter of my parents here in Islamabad, Pakistan. They care for me too much. So, they are always with me. On that very day, I was also accompanied by my class friends. In fact, they were happier than me on my success. Since it was a remarkable event in the college, the authority invited all the guardians and it was glorious for my parents that their daughter was the best scorer.
I remember the event as it was the best one of my life. I have never scored such a higher score before in my academic life. And it was the last one too. The event helped me to gain confidence and become stronger.
