Sample Answer:

Nowadays, the debate over how much money should be allocated to medical research and environmental research is controversial. While some argue that governments should invest more funds in medical research than environmental research, I believe that both are equally important and governments should invest an equal or similar amount of money in both.

On the one hand, investing in medical research is beneficial for humankind. This type of research helps to improve people’s health and well-being by finding new treatments and cures for diseases and other health issues. For example, in recent years, the world has seen many advances in medical science such as the development of new vaccines and treatments for cancer and other diseases. This has had a positive impact on people’s health and quality of life.

On the other hand, investing in environmental research is important for the future of our planet. Environmental research helps us to understand how human activities are affecting the environment and how we can make changes to reduce the negative impacts on the environment. For example, research can help us to better understand climate change, find ways to reduce pollution and improve the sustainability of our natural resources.

In conclusion, I believe that governments should invest an equal or similar amount of money in medical research and environmental research. Investing in medical research will improve people’s health and well-being, while investing in environmental research will help protect our planet for future generations. Therefore, both are equally important and should be given an equal or similar level of funding.
