Sample Answer:
Students are being lumbered with hours of homework every day. But in reality, this extra slog does not do them any good. Nevertheless, students are assigned homework by many teachers. In the instance, I am of the honest opinion that when school is closed, it should be closed. Children need time to get other needs met. So, I wholeheartedly disagree with the notion. The following reasons could explain why.
To begin with, inundating children with hours of homework every night is pernicious. It does not help them at all. In fact, it can lower students’ test score. This conclusion is drawn by a group of Australian researchers. The group has taken the aggregate results of several recent researches investigating the relationship between homework and students’ academic. Likewise, Richard Walker, an educational psychologist at Sidney University, reveals that in countries where students spend more time on homework, they score lower on a standardized test called the Program for International Students Assessment, or PISA. He also finds the same correlation when comparing homework time and test performance at school within the countries.
However, most cases homework’s have neutral or negative impact on the students’ academic performance implies that there are better ways for them to spend their after school hours than completing projects or assignments. So, what should kids be doing? Gerald LeTendre of Pennsylvania State University suggests that learn to play a musical instrument or participate in clubs or sports all seem beneficial, but there is no one answer that applies to everyone. Actually, we should stop making children take homework as turfing them out into the garden for unstructured play as it makes them better at attaining goals, according to a recent study. The study, conducted by the University of Colorado, shows that playing outside and going on sightseeing trips can foster the chances of educational success of children.
In pithy, homework should be scrapped at least for primary school children because it is not useful for them at all, while makes them unhappy and anxious. After school hours, children should have freedom to do what they love to do, I think.
