Chorleywood is a village near London whose population has increased steadily since the middle of the nineteenth century. The map below shows the development of the village.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the development of the Village.

You should write at least 150 words.

The provided pictorial shows data on the different development works done in Chorleywood from 1868 to 1994. As is presented in the illustration, the population of the Chorleywood village, which is situated near the London, increased constantly and because of that many development works including roads and railway, stations and Golf Course took place there.

According to the given graphic, roads and highways were mostly built during 1868 to 1883 and they connected the populated areas. The main roads were interconnected to facilitate the people to travel the area while motorways went straight to the lower part of the village to the upper part. During this period a Golf Course were built and that shows a prominent development of the area.

Railroad construction was started in the year 1909 and it intersected the main road near the station. After the railroad was established, the whole village was inter connected and the transportation facility for the people seems to have been completed. After the year 1970 till 1994 many other development projects took place and this was higher than the development of the previous decades.
