Discuss these both views and give your own opinion.


Sample Answer:

Nowadays, sports have become a popular activity for children and adults alike. There is a debate whether children should participate in sports for the purpose of leading a healthy lifestyle, or just for enjoyment. In my opinion, both of these views should be taken into account.

On one hand, the benefits of sports for children cannot be denied. Physical activities help them to maintain a healthy life, which is essential for their development. Furthermore, it can contribute to an improved physical appearance, as well as increased energy levels. Besides, as they are still growing, it is important to have an active lifestyle to ensure their bones and muscles develop properly. Additionally, it can enhance their mental health and reduce their risk of suffering from diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. Finally, engaging in sports can also teach them important values, such as the importance of team work, respect, and self-discipline.

On the other hand, it is important to remember that sports should be enjoyable for children. They should not be forced to participate in activities that make them feel uncomfortable, but instead be able to choose the ones that they like. This way, they can foster their interest in a particular sport, and maybe even become professional athletes in the future. Moreover, by playing a sport they are passionate about, they can become better at it, and gain the satisfaction of achieving something meaningful.

In conclusion, I believe that children should be encouraged to participate in sports, but should not be forced to do so. It is essential for them to be able to choose the activities that they like and enjoy, while still understanding the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. This way, they can benefit both in terms of physical and mental health and have a great time while doing it.
