Nowadays, it is a widely discussed topic whether early education should be provided to children or not. Some people believe that formal schooling should start at a very early age while others think that it should be delayed at least until the age of seven. This essay will discuss both views and give my own opinion.
On the one hand, there are arguments in favour of starting formal education at a very early age. Firstly, it is believed that children are like sponges and can quickly absorb information which can help them to develop faster. Secondly, the early introduction of formal education can help children to learn the important basics of reading and writing in a more effective way, which can facilitate their learning process in the future.
On the other hand, there are people who believe that children should not begin their formal education until at least seven years old. One of the reasons for this is that children at this age are more capable of handling the pressure of schoolwork, as they can better understand the concept of responsibility and focus. Moreover, at this age, children can also better interact with their peers and can understand the value of teamwork.
In my opinion, I believe that formal schooling should begin at the age of seven. This is because children at this age are more capable of taking the pressure of formal education and are also more likely to understand the concepts of the curriculum. Furthermore, they are more likely to understand the importance of learning and can focus on their studies.
To conclude, although starting formal education at a very early age can help children to develop faster, I believe that it should be delayed until the age of seven. This is because children at this age can better handle the pressure of schoolwork and are more likely to understand the concepts of the curriculum.
