Sample Answer:
Nowadays, it is a hotly debated issue whether children should be burdened with extra responsibilities or be allowed to enjoy their leisure time. This essay will discuss both these views and present my own opinion.
On the one hand, some people argue that children should have extra responsibilities to help them become independent and mature. By doing chores at home or helping at work, children can learn the value of hard work and responsibility. This can also provide them with a sense of accomplishment and boost their self-esteem. Furthermore, they can learn essential life skills such as time management and problem solving. All these skills are necessary for a successful future.
On the other hand, many people argue that children should have enough time to enjoy their leisure activities. This is because they are already under a considerable amount of pressure in school and need to have some time to relax and rejuvenate. Moreover, if they are given extra work, they may not have enough time to spend with family, which is essential for a healthy emotional development.
In my opinion, children should be given extra responsibilities but in moderation. This way, they can learn the value of work and responsibility without compromising their leisure time. They should be given tasks that are appropriate for their age and physical abilities. Furthermore, parents or guardians should ensure that children are not overburdened with work and have enough time to spend with family and take part in leisure activities.
To conclude, while both the views discussed have their merits, I believe that children should be given extra responsibilities in moderation. This way, they can become independent and mature while also having enough time to enjoy their leisure activities.
